Pediatric audiological evaluation is frequently recommended by various healthcare professionals to determine if hearing loss, even mild or temporary, is contributing to the difficulties observed in a child.
It is advisable for a child's hearing to be assessed if a member of the family has doubts about it, if the child has repeated ear infections, or if a language delay is assessed or strongly suspected. Finally, hearing should be evaluated before starting school in the same way as eyesight.
This evaluation will also be suggested in the event of failure of one of our hearing screening activities.
The assessment takes place in the form of different games and is adapted to your child's current stage of development. From 9 months, it is possible to carry out the evaluation. It is carried out in a soundproof cabin. Before the age of 5, the audiologist is accompanied by another audiologist, a nurse or a trained specialist educator.
